The Saudi Arabian Cabinet has strongly denounced the latest assaults by Houthi forces, which have targeted both civilian and economic sites in various locations, including Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran. Labeling these incidents as aggressive acts, the Cabinet emphasized Saudi Arabia’s right to safeguard its sovereignty, as well as its citizens and residents, from such threats. Furthermore, the ministers opposed the Houthi attacks on commercial shipping and international maritime routes in the Red Sea.
In the wake of these attacks, more than 70 individuals, comprising women and children, have reportedly sustained injuries across several cities in Saudi Arabia. In response, authorities have been tasked with ensuring that those affected receive top-tier medical care. The Cabinet’s meeting also addressed the ongoing situation in the Palestinian territories, alongside Arab efforts to counter Israeli activities in Jerusalem and the expansion of settlements.
Presiding over the meeting held in Jeddah, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman provided an update to the ministers on his recent engagements with leaders from Egypt, Greece, and Oman. These discussions are part of broader regional diplomatic efforts amid escalating tensions.
A significant development noted during the meeting was the announcement of an agreement between the foreign ministries of Saudi Arabia and Germany. The two nations have decided to establish a strategic dialogue aimed at bolstering consultation and coordination on various issues, reflecting a mutual desire to strengthen bilateral ties.
