The Saudi Arabian Cabinet has denounced the recent Houthi assaults on civilian and economic targets in the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran, labeling these acts as aggressive violations. The Cabinet emphasized Saudi Arabia’s legitimate right to protect its sovereignty and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents against such hostilities. Additionally, they condemned the attacks on commercial vessels and the disruption of international maritime navigation in the Red Sea by the Houthis.
In the course of these attacks, reports indicate that over 70 individuals, including women and children, suffered injuries in various Saudi locations. Authorities have been instructed to deliver the highest standard of medical care to those affected. The Cabinet’s agenda also included discussions on the situation in Palestinian territories, highlighting Arab initiatives aimed at curbing Israeli activities in Jerusalem and the expansion of settlements.
Presiding over the meeting in Jeddah, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman updated the ministers on his recent diplomatic engagements with the leaders of Egypt, Greece, and Oman. These discussions are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen regional cooperation and address pressing geopolitical issues.
The meeting also celebrated the forging of a strategic dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Germany. This agreement, achieved through the foreign ministries of both nations, aims to enhance bilateral consultation and coordination, fostering a more robust partnership between the two countries.
