From ‘Glass Onion’ to a Gothic Church: Blanc’s Next Case is Here

by admin477351

From the sunny shores of Greece in Glass Onion to the solemn, gothic halls of a church, Benoit Blanc’s adventures continue in a dramatic new setting. The first teaser for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery has been released, showing Daniel Craig’s detective in a much darker and more atmospheric environment.

This new location is the scene of an “impossible crime”: the murder of a Catholic priest (Josh Brolin) during a service. The change in setting from the franchise’s previous films signals a significant tonal shift, promising a story that is more suspenseful and somber than its predecessors.

The film populates this new setting with a stellar cast, including Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, and Jeremy Renner, all of whom must adapt to the grim circumstances. Blanc himself has adapted, sporting a more formal look with longer hair and a three-piece suit that fits the solemn mood.

After its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival, this new chapter in the Knives Out saga is set for a global release. Wake Up Dead Man will be in select theaters from November 26th before launching on Netflix on December 12th.
