Saudi Arabia, along with Egypt, Pakistan, and Türkiye, has condemned recent Houthi attacks on Saudi territories, including strikes on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. These attacks reportedly resulted in civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure, raising significant concerns over regional stability and safety.

In a joint statement, the four nations denounced the attacks as violations of international law and Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty. They emphasized the threat posed to civilian safety and regional peace, calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities. The countries also expressed their support for Saudi Arabia’s defensive measures in line with the United Nations Charter and international law, holding the Houthi group accountable for the consequences of their actions.

Further condemnation came from Kuwait, which criticized the attacks on both King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam. Kuwait underscored the interconnected security of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region and called for international accountability for those responsible.

Yemen’s Information Minister, Moammar Al-Eryani, also requested international intervention, highlighting the risk to aviation safety posed by the attacks on civilian airports. He urged the United Nations Security Council and related international entities to hold the perpetrators and their supporters accountable.

The latest wave of condemnation follows reports of a projectile striking a passenger terminal at King Khalid International Airport, causing a fire and resulting in injuries. Saudi aviation authorities have launched damage assessments and safety inspections in response. This incident occurred just a day after another attack, which reportedly killed 13 people and injured over 300, further heightening concerns about the safety of civilians and escalating tensions in the region.
